November Member Meeting!

We have two speakers for you this evening. Come and hear Ms. Roseann Harrington, Chief of Staff for Mayor Demings of Orange County & Deborah L. Foote, the Sierra Club Florida Chapter Government Affairs & Political Director

Ms. Roseann Harrington will give an informational talk about the proposed Transportation Sales Tax and what is being considered for funding. She will present the Transportation Community Survey and Fast Facts about this important issue.

Ms. Deborah L. Foote is the Sierra Club Florida Chapter first Government Affairs &Political Director. A former New Hampshire State Representative, she has been involved in public policy efforts for over 25 years. In 1998, Deborah was recognized by the NH Rivers Council for her exceptional legislative leadership in river and watershed conservation. She has served as a municipal conservation commissioner in Durham and Concord, NH, and as a member of the Boulder County (CO) Parks and
open Space Advisory Council. Deborah holds a BA in Sociology from Bowdoin College and a Master in Public Administration from the University of NH. She now lives in Tallahassee. Deborah is hard at work lobbying the state legislature on Renewable Energy, Water Quality and Quantity, Plan for Growth, and Budget for long term investments.
You are all very welcome come and learn about all the serious issues leaders in our community are trying to solve and the importance of caring for our fragile Florida environment.

All programs are held the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Doors opens at 6:45 pm, with light snacks and socializing. Programs are held from 7-8:45 pm. A brief discussion of environmental issues precedes the program along with info on upcoming outings and events.
