We are excited to welcome Rebecca Renner! She is an independent journalist and contributor at National Geographic’s science desk. She has written about the threats to Florida’s natural environments and the people protecting it for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Outside Magazine, Bloomberg’s CityLab, Sierra Club Magazine, and elsewhere. In 2020, Rebecca won a Fund for Investigative Journalism grant to research pollution from phosphate mining, and she is currently writing a highly anticipated literary true crime book about poachers in the Florida Everglades (think The Orchid Thief meets Into the Wild).
