March General Meeting w. Dr. Jennifer Mitchell
Please join us as Dr. Jennifer Mitchell speaks on “Protecting Our Water Resources and Providing Water for People.”
Jennifer Mitchell is with the St. Johns River Water Management District. She is passionate about Florida’s incredible water resources and hopes to spark your interest in what you can do to protect Florida’s waterways. After earning her Ph.D. in Forest Ecology from Auburn University, she completed a post-doc at the University of Florida in Soil and Water Science. Because she realizes that greater results will come from more community participation, she now works to spread the message of how individuals can reduce their impact on our waterways.
All programs are held the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Doors open at 6:45 pm, with light snacks and socializing. The meeting begins at 7 pm and generally runs until 9 pm. A brief discussion of environmental issues precedes the program, along with info on upcoming outings and events. Admission is always free, and all ages are welcomed. So come on down and bring some friends!
